Kramnik 1Topalov 1

For 2005? Health, certainly. Sobriety, not necessarily. Success, of course. And a greater passion for Chess, within the limits of physical and mental health. Mental health, you say? Even. The Topalov-Kramnik game is properly insane! As the world is small, I remember that the adjective "demented" had already been used by Thierry Le Gleuher to qualify one of the first "genius moves" of our national grandmaster (at 2750 Elo) of the problem, who honoured us with his visit, even if he knew that we would not deal with problems before being at the restaurant. We would like to see a comparable openness of mind among the "grand masters" of the 2450 party, who have decided to disappear after a fleeting attempt to expand their modest baggage.

Daniel having made a fine mouth about a Gamnitzer 9 move selfmate, I decided to submit to him a 2# helpmate from my drinking buddy (unfortunately in Portorož we didn't serve Gevrey-Chambertin) Harri Hurme, former Olympic player (Nice 1974), by granting him 3h30; it is 5am and I am waiting to hear from him. But Harri wants you well, don't you, adorable Mathilde?
